Pro3 is an initiative of the universities of Stuttgart, Erlangen, Kaiserslautern, Karlsruhe and Magdeburg, the Max-Planck-Institute for the Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems in Magdeburg, the Karlsruhe Research Centre / Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe, the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology  and the following companies: BASF AG, Degussa AG, IPF Beteiligungsgesellschaft Berndt KG, io-li-tec GmbH & Co. KG, Lurgi AG, Mann+Hummel GmbH, Merck KGaA, QVF Engineering GmbH and Rauschert Verfahrenstechnik GmbH.
